1, 2, 3 All Eyes On Me

I started working outside of the home. After searching for a job for months, one fell on my lap. (It's not my ideal occupation, but honestly, I don't know what that is even if you were to ask me.) I'm just very thankful to be back in the workforce. Anyway, I went in for an interview and started working 10 minutes later. It was probably the shortest job application process I have ever done. ☺

My new boss gave me a tour of the office and gave me the lay of the land. What caught my attention is that every room has a surveillance camera. There's nothing I can do or hide without it being captured on video. Not that I have anything to conceal, but the way I see it, I have "eyes" on me the whole time I'm working. I know there are cameras basically anywhere and everywhere nowadays, but for some reason, those didn't make an impression on me like the ones in my new office. Does it bother me? Not at all. If anything, I have the guarantee that someone is "watching" in case something does come up.

One morning, while sitting in my office chair reviewing my notes, the Holy Spirit reminded me that God is always watching me too. There is nothing I can do that He doesn't see. And I can't hide anything from Him either.

"For God sees everything you do and his eyes are wide open as he observes every single habit you have." ~ Proverbs 5:21 (TPT)

Of course, I was thankful for the assurance, but that made me wonder, do I do anything I don't want Him to see? Have I lived in a way that honors Him? Do I love people the way He has called me to love? Am I living with integrity? Is my life one to be proud of? My response humbled me to repent.

Friends, I encourage you to reflect on your life and ask yourself if Jesus came back tomorrow, would He say to you, "Well done, my good and faithful servant"? Or something else? His eyes are always on us, and we can't waste another minute living a life contrary to the way He has called us to live. Let today mark a new life that you will be proud to say is yours.
