Vision Test

When I was younger, around 17-18, my optometrist told me I had 20/10 vision. I didn't know what it meant back then, just that it was better than 20/20. For the longest time, my eyesight remained at 20/20. It wasn't until recently that I noticed my vision had rapidly declined. I now require a pair of glasses to see what used to be effortless. I'm either squinting, rubbing my eyes, or pulling the paper back to read the words. Hopefully, at my next eye exam, the optometrist's treatment will improve my current vision.

Like eye vision check-ups, I believe life vision check-ups are necessary too. When I recently did mine with the Holy Spirit, I realized a few misalignments that required immediate change. What was significant for a previous season was insignificant for the current one. It wasn't wrong, but apparently, I was holding on to it because it was comfortable, convenient, and what I thought most certain. It's critical to hold on to the vision God has given you, but at the same time, it's also important to be flexible when He tells you to revise it.

When was the last time you asked the Lord for a vision update? Take a moment right now and wait for either a confirmation or a revision.

"Then the Lord answered me and said: "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie, though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

~Habakkuk 2: 2-3 (NKJV)

"Where there is no vision, the people perish." ~Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
